In 1979, a relatively-unknown Philip Glass wrote music for an animated segment on Sesame Street called “The Geometry of Circles.”  It’s totally awesome.

Ohhhh my goodness, I totally remember this from when I was a little girl! (Yes, I am from the early Sesame Street generation) THANK YOU for posting this! I remember being entranced by the colors and movement and, of course, the almost hypnotic blend of these with the ethereal music. This was always one of my favorite segments — I would be so excited when they would replay it! And I am so excited to see it again now, probably twenty-five years since the last time.

It hasn’t lost any of its magic on me, even in all of those years.

I just found out that the others (besides Big Bird) can now see Mr. Snuffleupagus. I haven’t kept up as well as I once did.
